For the last 3 years, I’ve had the honor of learning and practicing regenerative urban agriculture here in Richmond, VA (Shout out Happily Natural Day). Stewarding a community farm and creating the new, Gewd Farm, I am beyond excited to finally begin moving forward to offer produce! The Dill Rd Community Farm has been my springboard for creating another urban farm operation at my own home. Within a year, I transformed a blank urban backyard into a fully operational “mini-farm”. Receiving my farm number with the USDA/FSA, creating raised beds, in-ground beds, chickens with a coop, — the whole-nine yards, all on a tenth of an acre.

The backyard has become an oasis of biodiversity producing food, providing habitat, and fostering our local ecosystem through sustainable practices like no-spray, companion planting with pollinators, worm composting, and more! As I grow more, I am excited to collaborate with others to bring fresh produce, medicinal herbs, and of course, our products to our community.
